Photovoltaic Systems in Dairy Farms

The characteristics of dairy farms have been studied in this paper and a solution has been sought for photovoltaic energy use on small dairy farms (10-100 cows). The calculations in this study show that the small dairy farms can really produce green energy. Solar energy can meet 100 per cent of energy needs of these farms. This solar system project is profitable. During 15 years of use of solar systems about HUF 1.4 billion could be realised in cost savings. This amount of money could increase the competitiveness of the dairy farms with 10-100 cows.
