The social and economic development of Hungary proves that well qualified experts, knowledge, practical skills have always played a great role in some, readily cited periods. Today in the interest of meeting numerous challenges that our country is exposed to, the pressure is on for the creation of a modern, cooperative system involving six-seven internationally recognised teaching and researching universities, regional higher institutes strong on practical training, MTA (Hungarian Academy of Sciences) and other research institutes and centres of innovation to promote the development of a knowledge based competitive society.
