vA scientific investigation of any elements of the Earth-Mankind issue is inherently influenced by various human values and -interests. Influence from outside is particularly strong in the science of climate change. The perennial natural phenomenon of climate change was made the central issue of the Earth-Mankind relationship, the so-called number one reference for the Green Transition. Since the creation of a new deliberate definition for climate change, asserts contradicting paleoclimate facts and physical laws have been accepted in frames of so-called consensuses, models have been preferred instead of direct observations, and the role of natural climate variability has been downplayed. This is largely what the presented examples are about. Variations in the temporal and spatial patterns of climate have a natural reason. It is not certain that all the puzzles can be solved easily since the imagination of nature is much richer than that of man. Mankind as a global climate influencer is much more modest than Nature. In my opinion, Man is a local, at most regional player, above all in the field of water management. Any reference to the climate situation to force the so-called Green Transition is false. It would have been somewhat more appropriate to assume the limits of the Earth's carrying capacity, but we must see that the Earth, however exposed to cosmic forces, is much more powerful than it is displayed by the dominant paradigm. As a result, man can indeed live – in responsibly - with the Earth's natural possibilities. For environmental care, in my opinion, temperance (in Latine: temperantia) can be the only effective tool. All major policy issues (in energy, agriculture, etc.) should be reconsidered accordingly, and climate change should be left to science.
