The practice of land evaluation in the European Union
Naárné Tóth, Zsuzsanna
Keywords: land evaluation, ecological assessment, economic evaluation, international outlook, goldcrown
There is no uniform method for land evaluation in the European Union. Several countries (France, Germany) use a scoring scale for ecological assessment. The D-e-Meter system presently under development in this country is based on scores according to soil patches. An advantage of this system is that beyond ecological assessment it also includes economic evaluation, without which this “one hundred point” land evaluation system would not be suitable to replace the traditional goldcrown scale.
