Check of productivity of beef husbandry in one enterprise of Somogy county

Integration to European Union means new challenges for Hungarian agriculture. Beef husbandry is one of the preferred industries of the EU. The example presented in the paper shows what advantages expected by an enterprise purposefully prepared for the favourable conditions of the EU. The study emphasises, however, that the improvement of subsidies alone would not prove to be sufficient for the maintenance of profitability. Decisive are also the natural conditions as well as an adaptation to market conditions with the maximum of professional endeavour.
