An agricultural world along the banks of the Dráva
Remenyik, Bulcsú
Keywords: Dráva, regulation, evolution of agriculture and population
The appearance and population of the territory lying along the course of the Dráva, as well as the activities taking place there, have been constantly shaped and remodelled by the river itself, its regulation and the maelstroms of history. The latter, from the Karlóca Peace Treaty to the present day, have resulted in fundamental changes, from which it is hard to find an exit or a way of raising the people’s standard of living.
