The success of farming depends to a great extent on how well conditions and opportunities are weighed up and how quickly limitations to action are recognised. Consensus so desired may be based on the recognition and harmonisation of interests. The legitimacy and social acceptance of agricultural supports is increasingly an urgent case indicating the level of development of civic attitudes. The taxation of agricultural sphere is a delicate question, which should faced with careful preparation. The settlement of land ownership is an urgent question not only because animal husbandry could go out of business but also because there is a real chance that a significant portion of Hungarian land could end up in foreign ownership.
