Wheat production – cheap of good?

Recently a sizeable portion of agricultural producers have abandoned intensive production in favour of low-cost farming. Their goal is to make the most profit rather than to achieve the largest harvest possible under the circumstances. We set out to explore the economic consequences of this change in philosophy. Analysis of the results from the last two years revealed that cutting costs definitely led to increased profits, but this strategy may cause significant problems in agronomy on the long term.
