Knowledge centre in the field of bioenergy

Between 2006 and 2009, the Károly Róbert College in Gyöngyös (KRF) coordinated the work of a bioenergy innovation consortium with ten members on a research project titled BIOENKRF. The project was supported by the National Innovation Office under the ‘Asbóth Oszkár’ grant programme. The project resulted in the establishment of a knowledge centre which plays an important role in promoting the emergence of the bioenergy sector in Hungary. The project leaders gave an overview of the results and the future of the program at the national conference organized on the occasion of the Celebration of Hungarian Science on 9 November 2009. The knowledge centre and the related knowledge network, which has already grown to an international network, now provide a wide range of innovation services and organises various business projects.
