Major coherences of the creation of territorial inequalities

It is true for most countries that there are significant inequalities in development both within their borders and beyond. Urban and rural areas show significant differences in the level of development. The reason for the creation of spatial discrepancies is that the economic and social processes are always restructured in space and time and such processes are even accelerated by globalisation. There are restructuring and relocating processes under way both in Europe and beyond. In order to gain a precise and realistic picture of territorial processes, it is worth learning the spatial processes that have already happened and their impacts on the spatial structure, since these may enable us to break out from the disadvantaged situation.
