The Relationship between Competitiveness and Efficiency Factors

Managing scarce resources, defining the purpose and the manner of resource use is a fundamental issue of competitiveness. Therefore, competitiveness is closely related to the concepts of productivity and efficiency, although it is also influenced by numerous other factors. The factors that are currently difficult to measure and quantify, but significantly influence the development of competitiveness, make it difficult to measure competitiveness. Therefore, the accurate assessment of quantifiable factors - including productivity and efficiency - is of importance.
This study can be considered the continuation of the authors' previous study discussing the concept of efficiency and productivity, and aims to analyse the relationship between competitiveness and efficiency indicators, and the appearance of these indicators in competitiveness studies.
