In accordance with the Council of Europe’s Luxembourg Agreement of 2003, an individual and unique hybrid model was developed in Germany for the introduction of unified economic subsidies. In keeping with German conditions and requirements one part of the subsidies (65%) is tied to the farms’ past results, while the other (35%) is tied to land areas. Relying on the results of experiences to date, it can be shown that the practical application of the system in the most important sectors achieved the expected parameters. The German experience is useful, as the planning and development of such a hybrid system is underway in Hungary.
